I work freelance as well. Got a project? Don’t be shy — shoot me an email!
Hey there! I’m Jared, a director + writer specializing in dialogue and performance driven comedy. I make television, commercials, shorts, music videos, and now, movies! My debut feature film, Office Race, which I also co-wrote, recently made its streaming premiere on Paramount Plus. Somehow, it feels more modest to tout my own exploits in the third person, so here's someone else (definitely not me) writing about me:
Jared's love for cinema (and comedy) began as a childhood fascination with his father's vast laserdisc collection, which eventually led him to study film at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He credits his sharp sensibilities to his years spent as an editor, where he honed his instincts for timing, rhythm, and pacing -- the holy trinity of comedic filmmaking. Jared's roots in the NYC sketch community are evident in his casting, proficiency with improv, and his ability to craft and sculpt sublime comedic performances, particularly from the many celebrities featured in his work.
Jared’s work first gained attention via his sketch comedy group, Reverse Cowboys, parlaying their string of viral hits into several digital series with Broadway Video. His success in the digital realm quickly led to branded content and commercial work, along with various television projects, including pilots for Comedy Central, MTV, Abso Lutely, and E!, and segment / episodic work for TBS, VH1, and NBC, notably on Lorne Michael's primetime variety series "Maya & Marty". He also directed half of Netflix's 6-time Emmy nominated series, "The Who Was Show.", and season one of TruTV's late-night comedy tentpole, "Ghost Story Club". Jared wrote and directed for the Americares Covid is No Joke benefit event, and directed "What's Cooking Tonight", a Netflix Waffles + Mochi special starring the incomparable Michelle Obama, Jennifer Garner, Jack Black, and several other amazing folks.
Jared's helmed commercial campaigns for globally recognized brands such as TurboTax, Little Caesars, OREO, Verizon, A&W, Scotts, Quilted Northern and many others. His debut feature film, Office Race, which he also co-wrote, is now streaming on Paramount Plus.
Hi, it's me Jared again. Sorry, I’m still blushing from that flattering bio… Who writes these things?! Anyhow, thanks for reading, and for stopping by. Have a look around, maybe watch a few things. If you like what you see, drop me a line! Or don't. That's cool, too. I just want you to live your best life.
